Early 2007 Report

I am fishing up a storm. That perhaps best explains why it took so long to post an update. From here on out, I should have something fresh every couple of weeks or so. Things have been great! Pictured above is one of many large fish taken on the Lower Kings River. The angler is Stephen Forrest. As of early March, flows are now up to 650cfs. These flows should remain throughout March. The blue-winged-olive hatch is still coming off In the afternoons, but the majority of fish are being taken sub-surface. Steelheading on the lower Merced river remains very hit-and-miss. Recent storms may push more fish up into the system. The Upper Kings(above Pine Flat Reservoir) March Brown hatch should be in full swing by the 15th of the month. I still have some open dates between March 20th and Easter.
