Creekin' It - Spring 2010

This year has an abundant snow pack. Runoff remains high strong so be careful which waters you select. But not to be discouraged, we have been deftly working smaller drainages that are no longer running too high to fish. Here are some fun shots of some quality small stream time with Evan and his brother Max Maynard
on a scenic Sierra brown trout fishery.

Evan kindly reports: " ...Jimmie did a terrific job and we had a ton of fun. I know my brother was a bit skeptical about the whole fishing idea at the time, but once he was out hauling in fish I could see that he was having the time of his life. He was full of smiles and was truly as thrilled as I was to be hauling in fish one after the other. Jimmie was great at quickly spotting the fish and he was very good about making sure that we did not slip or fall. He was also a great tour guide on the way there pointing out many view points, all of the various reservoirs and neat peaks such as The Eagle Peaks. Thanks to Jimmie for a wonderful time."

Thanks Evan for that glowing testimonial! We are watching the river flows in anticipation for an amazing 2010 trout season. Don't hesitate to call us and by all means pop by the shop too (Yosemite Rivers Fly Shop).
